Trees are of great value to both the urban and rural environment but require management appropriate to their surroundings. From full crown reductions to the removal of single stray branches, at Root & Branch we pride ourself on providing high quality pruning work with consideration to the tree’s long-term vitality and appearance. Knowledge of correct pruning techniques and timing are crucial aspects in delivering successful results.
Careful pruning can improve aesthetics and light levels in the garden; maintain safety with removal of dead wood and damaged branches; improve future form by removal of decayed, poorly formed or crossing branches and lower the potential for storm damage by reducing sail area.
Care is always taken during work to protect surrounding plants, turf and property. On completion of works the site is always left tidy, and to the customer’s satisfaction, with all arising taken away for recycling.
All our pruning work is carried out in accordance with the British Standards BS3998: 2010 Tree Work Recommendations.
-
We carry out all our tree removals in a safe and efficient manner, with the expertise and equipment to tackle any size of job.
Where space allows, directional felling is carried out to make efficient use of time on site. However, in confined spaces, the tree can be dismantled in sections using approved rigging techniques to control the descent of branches and protect surrounding plants and structures.
All our tree felling and dismantling work is carried out in accordance with the British Standards BS3998: 2010 Tree Work Recommendations.
All arisings are removed from site and recycled as bio-fuel, firewood or composted to produce mulch. Where appropriate, Root & Branch Arboriculture Ltd. encourages replacement planting and can assist and advise upon selection, planting and aftercare.

If you are concerned about the health of your trees or are just looking for peace of mind, we’re on hand to provide tree condition reports.

We can arrange surveys to advise on the condition of your trees and recommended actions to reduce the likelihood of future problems.
